Normally, I am rather critical and negative about the activities of the EGR management, but the fact that KfW is sending an employee to Tanzania for further due diligence activities shows that EGR has at least this time submitted a timely and properly formatted application with all the prerequisites.
That’s already half the battle. Now follows a demands and actions catalog from KfW with a very tight schedule. I hope Andrew is aware of this and fulfills all of KfW’s demands within the required timeframe. Otherwise, it’s back to square one with KfW, and the process starts all over again. Unfortunately, KfW is relentless in focusing on its process, and anyone who doesn’t comply loses.
Therefore, the EGR management must now work 24/7 on KfW’s demands catalog. No parties, no unnecessary conferences, pleasure trips, or handshake events. There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon but still a long long way to go.
