    Good points. Both size and quality matter.

    EGR's presentation pack does cover off three of the factors you list. The average deposit thickness is 200m so for better or worse, most of the deposit will be fresh not weathered material. 63% of the flake size is over 150microns (Medium or larger). While EGR's current slides don't confirm it, from a spreadsheet I've written that Large (180-300), Jumbo, and Super Jumbo are 51% of the Epanko resource. If selling on the open market that matters.

    Where grinding down to spherical graphite it doesn't as much. Half the graphite having a good alternative non-spherical graphite pathway seems a useful percentage when the intention is to pathway a significant proportion of the ore to purified spherical graphite for batteries.
