The election of Trump changes the landscape. People are thinking that because Trump is embracing Musk it indicates he supports EV’s. This is definitely not the case. Trump is an extremely transactional character and he has used Musk for the millions of dollars of support he gave him and also the credibility it gave him with the Crypto crowd. He knows the votes that it offered and he took it. He intends to put Musk in charge of reducing government departmental waste. Talk about putting a bull in a China shop. Musk does not have mindset to deal with the entrenched bureaucracy of government agencies. He does not tolerate his own staff pushing back against him, he sacks them. Trumps bromance with Musk will not last and he will dismiss him like he did to so many of his previous cabinet. He will then go back to his dismissive view of EV’s and Cilmate Change policy. Drill Baby Drill is his mantra!! The EU will have to go it alone in this space and also in the military space. They can no longer rely on the US. jmho
