    To be honest, that article didn't make sense to me. The heading screamed 'Graphite shortage sparks global supply fight' then quotes one of the interviewee's as saying the cost of producing 100 mesh flake graphite (fines) is above current prices. He admitted it was 'unsustainable'. There isn't a graphite shortage, there's a glut and China is dumping product into any market they can find. The current price of flake in Europe is approx $1460USD. Whether other grades of flake follow this example, I don't know. The graphite market is pretty opaque.

    I think EV sales didn't take off like expected catching everyone out. Expected SPG demand didn't eventuate. VW shut some plants and China had overbuilt capacity as they always have a strong tendency to do and are looking for markets to dump product into. Toss US tariffs into the mix and things are getting complicated quickly.

    A big question for me is how much premium can EGR get over Chinese graphite that is being dumped at a loss?
