Yes, and there is US company that achieves 99.99% purity also. However, it is very much dependent on the feedstock having the structural composition and crystalinity to accommodate the highest grades. 99.95% is benchmark and Ecograf achieves above that spec.
Would have been good to have seen what feedstock/s were used in EGR's latest tests.
I might mention too (based on my limited knowledge) that a feedstock's concentrate grade has little bearing on the resultant SPG purity grade... it's the quality of graphite in terms of its inherent structure.
All the talk too about potential competition is rather moot. When an SPG co has offtake partners and their own supply chains... really, what does it matter what others are doing? As you've stated, RNU is miles behind EGR in terms of development. We have $54mil in our coffers too!
