Can't speak for the price of magnesium. But in regards to Chinese mag, the sentiment is that companies are trying to diversify their operations but reducing their reliance on Chinese magnesium. There are a couple of videos going around of the CEO of LMG talking about the absolute lack of competition outside of China, and how this will be a critical advantage on top of being a sustainable source of magnesium.
