Hi @dashaIn 2021 world magnesium production was just under 1m tonnes/annum. The average price /tonne for the year was USD$ 6,500..In multiple reports I have read and as well on the Latrobe Magnesium website, the market is forecast ro double by 2027 to approx 2m tonnes/annum

2m x USD $6,000/tonne (Conservative imo)= Market value USD$12 billion by 2027..It looks like that report has a significant mistake in growth and value forecasts, imo..I can find the references again if you wish. The projections by many analysts is based on a mega boom for EV and other sectors needing very high strength to weight ratio..Recentlly I made a post regarding the massive increase in EV sales so far this year due to the hike in petrol prices. Given that the reduction in fuel excise is for only six months it is highly probable the magnesium market will be stretched to extremes much earlier.
