I think its about the opportunity to do deals to;

1. Create large scale cost effective and ESG acceptable Magnesium supply at multiple locations thereby breaking the 90% supply from China dilemma.

2. Sign on to Vic Govt / Engie as the ONLY commercial option to remove the Hazelwood Power Station ash tailings dam (which happens to be located immediately adjacent to the Tramway Rd LMG site). The cash from that will be multiples of current MC if it plays out as expected and hugely profitable in its own right. We would also expect Mg and various by products for sale.

Bechtel doing phase 1 and 2 of the 100,000 tonne feasibility study tells you someone with very very deep pockets and loads of $$$$$$ is behind this assessment. It has to be a China dependent Magnesium end user. My guess is Tesla but it could be Rio or one of the big Aluminium smelters.

I don't know who, I just know it isn't LMG.

Bechtel don't do welfare jobs.

I wouldn't put too much weight on Bechtel being commissioned or make any assumptions about which companies may be lurking in the shadows.
