Mate - thats real commitment. Essentially, you invested around 10-11k in 2007 and held it for 14 years! - wow.
I respect that.
Sometimes I feel real bad for investors who have held shares for years, then the price gradually decreases, and I come along at a low point and am able to snap them up at bottom dollar. Yes, I do hold them for the long term, but I've had the benefit of being able to accumulate more shares for the same amount of money and at a point where the company is significantly de-risked.
Just to be clear - I too have bought shares very early on and then held them through high and low points, only to see new entrants snapping them up at low points - life's inequalities go both ways
The share market is certainly not fair in this regard, but my respect to those of you who have taken that risk so early on.
