Why would Goita miss an photo opportunity signing this off. As you say @gmwprojects this is the first Lithium mine for Mali which is an enormous deal & a part of political & economic history for the region. The Malians would be well aware how important energy independence is. They'd probably have dreams of refining & potentially even making their own batteries. It was always going to be approved by Goita but definitely for his benefit politically. What could look better than bringing thousands of new jobs to the area & starting a Malian lithium mining industry & hub?
The ground support for this will be overwhelming in the region. Platform already laid by FFX at Morila. Well done management.
