Hi Folks, Wondering if there's any helpful advice on the following situation: My FFX shares are sitting in my SMSF SABP, and therefore not attracting any tax (or in this case capital loss). Is there a legal way to transfer these to my personal account for cash off market while they are suspended, at the current price? My thinking is if this were possible then my personal account would take the CGT hit from now on (as I assume there will be) and therefore be able to offset the CGT loss against other gains.
I guess I will need accountant advice but thought I'd ask if anyone else was in a similar position and had advice. Regards
