So, $40 million disappeared about that time, and then someone of African Malian origin was photographed living it up in a 5 star resort hotel in Switzerland (maybe for the banking non-disclosure rules).

So, one Malian journalist picked up the story about a local manager supposedly converting their interest in Morila into gold, by taking gold bars from the mine.
