Speaking of not knowing who someone is .. .. ..

Was the mine already struggling? or just needed fine tuning?

Was he brought in to trouble shoot (as it seems to be his forte?) the operation / performance of the mine?

BUT! - we already had the expertise; as per their respective bios
    ~ Borg - Geologist
~ Hepburn - "still looking" through all his different company bios to find something useful, but I give him credit for appointing Chris Evans
~ Cowden - Geologist, also been part of discovery, development & operation of numerous mines.
~ Fraser - (according to the announcement of his appointment) he is a great asset to the company, with his business acquisition, strategy & restructuring and corporate governance skillsets.
~ Gordon - operational mining experience in Africa, Australia
~ Anderson - Bachelor of Science (Mining geology, PhD in Mining Geology, substantial African experience, extensive management and technical experience, successfully transforming companies from explorer to producer.
~ O'Brien - Metallurgist and Li processing expert.
~ Taplin - qualified engineer, extensive leadership and operational experience working in operations & project development,
++ fluency in French to be an integral part of the ramp up
~ Matanda - appointed group mining engineer, well credentialed with 8 years with Resolute (Syama) previously worked with Barrick / Anglo in East and West Africa jurisdictions. 17 years experience in mine production, mine planning - has a BSc in Mining Engineering

I'm a positive there would have been group chanting coming from within the walls of the Board room, "it's not our money" "it's not our money" followed by excessive laughter .. .. .. ..

Other "consultants" used, at unknown costs?
Consultant geologist - Oliver Kreuzer - Corporate Geoscience Group - West Perth
~ was engaged to interpret an airborne magnetic survey that was flown (in 2018) over the Massigui project.
** what always has me baffled, (using Borg as an example) that when a director is appointed their bios highlight their skillsets, and the relevance to the company, but these skillsets are rarely used?
With all the geologists we had on the board and/or KMP, why did we need to use a consultant?

Maintenance professional - Werner Messidat, was (allegedly) lured by Taplin to Morila (early 2022) to get the mine to full operational start up readiness.

~ Maiga - finance and administration manager at Morila, previous finance manager at Loula and Morila mines, has a deep knowledge of Morila.
++ part of the group of appointments that "beefed up" the team for rapid growth.

    cheers
