No doubt local processing plants are hoping that the next generation of copper giants will come from the local region as soon as practical. Given that it takes at least 5 to 8 years from discovery to development to production, it has become a serious and desperate situation for them. Unfortunately, 2025 is only three years away so the sooner discoveries are made the more confidence they will have to reinvest in modern infrastructure and maintain staff in anticipation of the coming supply.

CPM has about 1.5 km of mineralisation in the heart of the world class Mt Isa region. With many 100 year old shafts and huts, it's hard to believe that there’s not been one drill hole made into this system. However, with today's modern geochemistry and more powerful geophysic systems that can record less ‘noise’, it means that you can analyse the data better and isolate to find key conceptual targets – the key to unlocking value. For example, the map below (compliments of our neighbour - old now), illustrates how their IOCG discovery (Nil Desperandum) is in a zone of no magnetics, ie, its in the blue zone which is a low to no magnetic anomaly. Hence, possibly why no drilling program has been done here and is probably why it has been overlooked for so long.

Similar geology extends upwards into our tenure. So, it’s potentially looking very promising for all concerned.
