When it comes to immediate rare earth oxide supply to meet demand from Australia, particularly dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb), there's bugger all to chose from for the Americans. Nevertheless, ionic-clay projects like ours will produce all required oxides of Dy and Tb and NdPr which the US will require if they are to meet the demand gap which is already exponentially growing for Dy and Tb. These graphs below highlights how NdPr demand is less of a problem then that of Dy and Tb.
Ar3 is a different kind of mining animal because of its simpler and quicker processing. This makes AR3 uniquely advanced. Last year, AR3 successfully completed a trial mine and rehabilitation program within six months. Plus it was able to take some of that material and then whip it up into a carbonate concentrate to send to offtake partners for analysis. All without the usual need for a scoping study, etc as most other commodities need to do. Nevertheless, still a lot of regulatory hurdles for AR3 to jump, however, we could be moving a lot quicker to capture the moment then many people may realise.
