'there are no radioactive waste streams.' Rick Pobjoy
Unlike hard rock rare earths, ionic clay-hosted have 'easier production' methods, favour the heavy rare earth elements (Dysprosium, Terbium) and have no radioactive waste concerns that have haunted hard rock projects like LYC for instance.
Also, RP said at the recent RRS 2023 Gold Coast Conference ‘… the same style that has underpinned China’s massive Rare Earths industry, clay-hosted Rare Earths amounts for only 1% of their total resources, however, production from them is as much as 35%.’
This just underscores the economic scope that such a project will bring to supply chains.
As the transition to a decarbonisation world gains momentum, OECD countries will be turning to safe jurisdictions in sovereign-trusted countries to bring the security of supply that is required in order for them to invest heavily in this future.
Things will be able to move much faster with ionic clays than many may realise.
