    Today's announcement by Arafura's hard-rock (Nolans) project is fantastic news for the entire sector – signing an offtake agreement to supply Neodymium and Praseodymium to European industrials group Siemens for up to five years will help to curtail some global supply concerns.

    But what about the other two very important, high value, elements that are required – Dysprosium and Terbium?

    Current oxide costs:
    • Praseodymium - $163.70 per kg
    • Neodymium - $168.90 per kg
    • Dysprosium - $545.80 per kg
    • Terbium - $3,282.80 per kg

    The fact that Dysprosium and Terbium are much higher in value and almost entirely sourced from ionic clays in China and Myanmar highlights that they are of even greater strategic importance. Especially, if China threatens to 'continue' to use its exports as a trade weapon.

    AR3 is a confirmed ionic clay 'multigenerational' mineral province.
