Resources (ASX:ARU) has successfully tested a bulk sample from the Nolans
rare earths deposit, Northern Territory, for treatment by heavy media
separation (HMS).
The Nolans project hosts 18.6mt of rare earth resources.
The concentrated ore from the demonstration plant has a rare
earth grade of 5.8pc.
This compares to a feed grade of 4.2pc and waste rejection rates
of 30pc in the pre-feasibility study.
Managing director Alistair Stephens said the higher concentrate
grades will allow the company to lower its downstream costs and transport
operating costs.
