Three nominees hold about 28% of the stock in ESS. I would assume that this includes Odey and that all or most of this will vote against the proposed deal. These are big players who have mostly paid a bit above the offer and will not be in there for peanuts.
the offer is a nice round fifty cents, so is not a carefully calculated fair price. I can't see the deal being approved at the current price and I can't see the offeror walking away without trying to get it through. Then there is the likelihood of others entering the auction. I am in for the long haul here.
