How right you are! A large short position has been built recently and explains the big fall since the end Nov.

I have been watching the daily movements on the ASX site (https://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt). This shows more recent change than the ASIC report.

The best is the 'Short Position Reports Table' on the ASIC.

I have watched the daily change for 6-8th on and this shows a further 100k in total to add to the 1.179M shorted at 5-Dec, so almost 1.3M to cover - Nice!
