When we had Covid lockdowns banks piled into long term bonds, I recall repo rates going negative..they made a whole bunch or money when interest rates going down... but now they are stuck with a stockpile of bonds.. and probably unhedged..
Credit suisse has been in trouble for some time and Swiss government said they will provide liquidity. I don't foresee it failing anytime soon. Bu the banking crisis may give the Fed a reason consider to pause..
