Triple witching is when they rebalance.
My hunch is that the fund has sustained outflows in the quarter and needed to sell down.
Some other components of the ETF also witnessed selldowns.
When investors suffer heavy losses in say the banking sector they offload other unrelated investment s to stay liquid.
