leases also come with conditions often regarding parts supply and servicing let alone a premium on the actual purchase price etc etc. Every lease is different. There is always a catch.
Cat make far more money from parts and service than they do from outright sale of machinery over life of machine.
Longer they can keep equipment running and using crazy priced original parts more $ cat makes so they offer value in finance.
It also secures machine value as they may have a lean on the machinery so it stops it being sold off cheaply and hence they keep initial and 2nd hand value of machinery high.
