They could be mining right now but they obviously have decided not to do it that way. I am not to say I agree with the decision. In fact, I very much disagree with it.
1) You need to increase grade slowly to be efficient. The grade will double or more.
2) They probably are opting for a one at a time approach. First everything running then, increase grade.
3) They are also probably overwhelmed with training staff etc. and adding another layer of complexity adds risk and loss of ounces through poor grade control and blasting with low grade requires spotters etc. etc.
4) They are not a mining outfit. Jamie is trying to run Chatree from seat 1A, while spending 50% of his time on KCN and 50% of his time on LinkedIn promoting himself.
