Just a quote from Walter Wriston, CEO of Citibank in the 1960s- perhaps Jamie can pass this on to the Thai negotiating team to ponder whilst considering our TAFTA claim.
From what I saw when in Thailand recently, they need all the foreign investment they can get.
Only going to make so much from Thai massage shops and selling cannabis to tourists. Time they realised this issue is a major hinderance to capital deployment by outsiders, especially in the mining sphere.
Our team should push hard, and not accept anything but a large cash compensation.
I expect a deferral of TAFTA to be announced soon…..
