The market is an absolute joke. It can be dialed up and down by the algorithm at whim. There are lots of people made happy by a falling share price. The buyers, the shorters, the money lenders, the people who want the assets and not pay for them, people planning takeovers etc etc. Do you really think HFT is fair, orderly and transparent? ASIC does nothing because it is either captured or in on the joke. Why do you think it is being broken up.
