but why should Thailand expect a royalty three times the rate every other country pays, and three times the rate they were previously charging?
Do they not want to attract grown-up industry in their country? do they really want their people to be stuck in the dark ages, just growing rice forever, and prostituting themselves to tourists?
It must be very hard for KCN to try to negotiate with the Thai officials, as the Thai officials seem rather … what is the word for arrogant but ignorant, while at the same time too frightened to do something possibly unpopular in case they get their heads chopped off?
