i noticed that the large number of buyers ( apparently 400,000 ) came on all at once. That sometimes happens at an auction in any event. Were it to be the ETF I suspect the share would have been transferred to friendly hands so they can be transferred back at another time. Unfortunately, I cannot see cross-trades marked on my provider's platform so cannot tell. I suspect that the higher offers are put on by the same parties who were selling. A number of those "positions" can be cancelled in the auction using HFT leaving less buying pressure and compelling a price fall at a lower price than might otherwise be the case.
Silver is at 29.96.
