The plot thickens.
David Collard only opened up in NY in Dec 2022 according to Geelong Times.
He went to school at St Joseph College Geelong.
Last year he set up the David Collard Foundation for scholarships to the school.
Which triggered the thought "paediaphilia" and yes it was huge in the 1980's from Google search.
Their Geelong office is/was an antique/ oddity sales room/warehouse which must have closed during covid.
The Avalon site for the battery manufacturing sits very close to the RAAF base and barracks in Laverton.
Prior to the move to NY he was mainly involved with local Medical Tech, bringing great ideas to fruition.
To me it looks like the money is coming from Defense.U.K. U.S. AUS. alliance.
IMO They approached him with the plan to buy Britishvolt, build a batterymaking plant in Geelong using U.S. military battery tech, and to build an intermediary Li product plant in Port Hedland to feed the LiOH refinery in Teeside U.K. and setup his digs in NY.
I wouldn't be surprised if Calix are also involved in making the intermediary product they are just up the road and also very involved with local cutting edge science, Deakin University etc
