I think Mr Collard will become a big player in the OZ Li industry, as it seem from the noise coming from political figures in the U.S. and AUS that AUKUS is behind the Britishvolt acquisition.
On another note it is great to see local medical innovations being supported by Mr Collard.
Graeme Clarke could have done with his help years ago.
I met him and had a tour of his lab when he was at RVEEH I was selling medical stuff.
He was fund raising on Collins St, at that time, to get money for his research into creating the bionic ear.
Geelong Epworth was my last base in medical sales, so I understand the importance of the Li battery factory for the Western corridor as oil refineries go.
I am guessing this was a prerequisite in the deal.
The big win is the Western Defence force will not be reliant on China for Lithium batteries or LiOH.
