It looks like he will be using Li Chloride a intermediary product.
Elon apparently bought Li Clay tenements in Nevada I can't find them !!
He did start negotiating with Cypress Lithium Nevada to buy them out but that fell through.
Cypress Li is now Century Li with Koch.
The question is will he be back looking to produce Li from clay as per his patent from another Li Clay deposit in Nevada using salt as per his patent.
