At the Northern end an old oil well is belching copious amounts of
hot water from the plug that burst and can't be fixed because the water pressure is too high rendering the area difficult to drill as it is waist deep mud.
The upside is the geothermal pressure, great for energy + Li as a by product similar to Vulcan Energy.
Ormat is next door who are world leaders in Geothermal energy.
JB said it was worth waiting to see if the Li DLE pilot studies from Geothermal sources can be done at commercial levels.
The tech companies in this area are asking for alot in return atm.
In ref to OZ Mallina is the project they are concentrating on.
