I have a tax question if a company is re born like AJM into 1MC...

    I have a tax question
    if a company is re born like AJM into 1MC on my portfolio I still have the same amount of shares although it says the purchase price is now 0.00
    I have been holding for about 6 years so should be in the 20% of any tax bracket when I come to sell.
    is this still the case or do you have to start again from when 1MC was born ? and is it worked out on your original purchase price from when it was AJM ?
    any help gratefully received
