Why the hell would PLS want to take over Leo?
Leo Lithium and Ganfeng have a Cooperation Agreement that is expected to deliver long-term strategic benefits to Leo, both at Goulamina and beyond.
These include:
~ A study into raising planned stage 2 capacity to 500ktpa, lifting overall planned capacity to 1mtpa
~ Jointly studying the concept of co-investing in a downstream conversion facility in Europe or other suitable region within a suitable distance of West Africa.
* MLL had previously touched on this idea around when Evans was Managing Director and the Company commissioned global engineering firm Hatch to assist with a Scoping Study.

Build a downstream plant in Mali, more jobs for the locals, more revenue for the Government and as @JackSpark posted, has all the benefits of lower transport costs - a carrot to dangle in front of the Mali Government
With the Governments plans to build a gold hub, they could add a Lithium hub to their bow, we could we could process FL1's ore
cheers
