Barrick is holding its ground against a dodgy tax bill. That's the right course to take - show of strength, earn respect etc. That's the language they understand.
I don't like to see Leo appearing to back down without much of a fight regarding their $40 odd million in import duties. We have negotiating power, the country needs us, and will need us more once the royalties start flowing.
