Froma legal stance, full ownership of the mine transferred to Ganfeng once the sale agreement was signed. LLL now has a debt owed by Ganfeng which should not be affected by any future problems that Ganfeng experiences with the Mali Govt.
However.....Ganfeng may have inserted a clause in the LLL agreement or contract absolving itself of any liability should the Mali Govt reneg on its agreement with Ganfeng in a very material way. This mess was largely created by the poor management at FFX.
I sincerely hope that my above example is not the case. This would be a very good question to put to Simon!!
