Could be... but the world needs more lithium mines to come online and presently they (both hard rock and brine) take a long time to develop.

That is the reason for the long time to get to the point where Li batteries may become substantially cheaper...I think that some outfits are working on Li from brine extraction methods that are considerably quicker than evaporation, for example...so that may increase supply a wee bit . But even so - it takes time to find and develop Li resources and then there is the permitting...
