I started investing in 2020 and have made a net gain on MLL of about 20% roughly over two years even now. At the peak probably closer to 200%. If you sold now you'd be selling at or near the bottom, knowing the average bear market. Yes, it could go to zero, but highly unlikely.

I don't invest cash that I need for rent, food or anything else. Sucks watching almost 2 years of gains vanish but to put things in perspective, those paper gains were made sitting on my ass. Zero labour on my part. And MLL/FFX/LLL isn't even the biggest faller.

In a bear market, the most important thing is keeping your job and a roof over your head. Maybe read some investment literature. Peter Lynch or John Bogle are good ones. The reality is that investing is mostly psychology and luck. The fact that you have even have access to the capital markets means you are already middle-class at least.
