this too: DRE reacting in real time to external events…for better or worse, mirroring a deterioration in US futures markets. Good point about the manipulation @bigcon - trying to entice more volume on the sell line, trying to buy more time. A reminder that there is a psychological component to the market that can be modified. They do it because they can + it works sometimes but can never suppress a powerful enough long term trend in any sufficiently large market (eg. silver).
January was always going to be a challenge as the wider market sorts out what direction it wants to go in 2023. Misinterpreting stagflation for recession will convince large groups of people to take the wrong direction.
