Never fall in love with stock you will waste too much time and energy on an event that may occur in the future particularly if it is too far into the future, the more time the more probability of something else may interfere and change the outcome as well, hence the saying, I wasn't expecting that.
I find having the ability to zoom in and out of a cross-section of economic scenarios and historical events that have affected markets still remains at the center of what turns markets, combined with human behavior mostly FOMO and lack of patience which then can result in emotional distress like your last post, I'm only giving a rational explanation to the way markets and human behavior set the outcomes as such.
I don't look at my shares that have gone down as too bad I see it as an opportunity to double up when it hits a bottom. And it has taught me that Patience is only gained by practice.
