    It will be interesting to see if they separate Lithium and Vanadium batteries in regulations.
    Lithium clearance zones basically protect from blasts but that wont be an issues with Vanadium.

    Currently the following clearances are needed. If clearances are not achievable above then fire proof sheeting can be installed if installing in a garage etc.
    Anything solar and battery related can be within the parameters (inverter, switchboard, battery, consumption meter etc) however anything else will need to be relocated prior to install.

    We install 3-4 home batteries a week at the moment, 95% of the batteries are installed in the garage and the other 5% down the side of the property.
    Design will be important, in both scenarios adoption will be restricted if the battery depth is to great.

    I think most of the value lies in grid scale applications. But if they get the design and pricing right then the residential battery market is already alive and growing fast. Leasing the Vanadium content or batteries as a whole will also be an interesting model.
