I don't think electric trucks will be viable for AVL. A semi in AUST has a load limit of 27 tonnes, similar size to the TESLA electric truck. The TESLA battery weighs approx 5 tonnes, AVL plans to use 140 tonne road trains how big would the battery be and how long to recharge?
Maybe hydrogen could be viable sometime down the track, a pity the Meeka rail line was closed in 1978.
