VRFB's will co-exist with lithium based battery's. They have different attributes which can, and will I believe, be important in grid stabilisation and for stand alone/off grid applications. They are an outstanding choice due to the long life span, recyclability and scalability. IMO these batteries will be in huge demand, soon.
