looking into documentation on lightening strikes to lithium ion packs , There is very little information. The other risk is cracked or old tanks allowing moisture to oxidise in battery causing fire this is due to old or broken cases it seems when u take into account the risks maintenance checks would be of upmost importance and likely result in costly shut downs or risk safety
