Thought I may as well kick off an omnibus thread, starting with with this article about recent research on the microbiome, diet, time of the day and illness.

Not sure that the headline follows from the actual findings of the research, though interesting in that it seems to talk about the microbiome in the small intestine or at least at the top of the large intestine and also that it talks about the make-up of the microbiome following a regular cycle within each day. Is time-restricted feeding such a novel idea as I've read about intermittent fasting for yonks? I'm not sure whether Microba takes snapshots or video of the microbiome but the article indicates we might need a video camera to realistically be in the hunt here.
