+++++++++++++++++++++++++ QuikTrak Networks plc (PLC), a subsidiary of QuikTrak Networks Ltd, has applied to become a listed company on OFEX. The OFEX Market is a Prescribed Market for the purposes of Section 118 of the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and is directly regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
QuikTrak Networks Ltd provided phase 1 funding to PLC. Additional equity seed capital has recently been raised. The Company has a funding for phase 2 of the roll-out which will be covered by an equity funding arrangement with an investment trust that will provide access to new capital.
PLC has secured all necessary telecommunications licences for conducting its business in the UK. The company's licences under the UK Wireless Telegraphy Act and the Telecommunications Act were issued in 2000. The former licence has an indefinite duration; the latter has a minimum duration of 25 years. The company also has access to all current and future QuikTrak intellectual property through its technology licence with QuikTrak Networks Ltd.
QuikTrak is a specialist security and telecommunications business. Its technology provides secure tracking, monitoring and data services (messaging) products and services for cars, commercial vehicles, plant and equipment, property and people.
QuikTrak is not a GPS based system and provides very robust two-way, secure communications with location using miniature transponders with enhanced features including the ability to determine the speed and direction of travel of the transponder, that will work inside buildings.
QuikTrak's applications have been developed for a wide range of customers including consumers, business and governments. Its patented spread spectrum radio technology demonstrated significant benefits over other technologies and has a strong pedigree having been developed over many years in conjunction with British Aerospace.
