Don't get wrong SD I would very much welcome our CEO holding 3.5% of the company. Definitely send a good signal. But it's not the be all or end all for me.
I don't know enough about Nvidia to really comment more on apart from looking at their share price chart over the years, But did he buy all of them or were they given to him by the company. Either way, it didn't stop investors losing half their value in that period.
