Excellent story in $$Small.....ps this morning. Must read for some understanding of where we are in the whole picture.

Australia’s superannuation system sets a global standard
Excerpt. However, the initial design of superannuation to put the risk on to members rather than employers has had an interesting side effect, which leads directly to the other major difference seen here in Australia.Fewer bonds, more shares
The old defined benefit funds that many other nations are depending on need to be run quite carefully and conservatively or otherwise the employer can get stuck with some very large risks down the track. That means these funds invest a large portion of their assets in bonds which are arguably safer – although they have been quite volatile in recent years – but generally produce a lower return.Australian super funds, by comparison, use a much higher percentage of shares and fewer bonds. The Thinking Ahead Institute report shows that Australia has 51% of its superannuation assets in equities while the average among the top seven developed nation pension systems is just 42%.
My take out of that could show why small caps in Australia are less supported. The vast majority of that super money goes into blue chips, ASX100, 200, 300. By far. That's what is historically the "Aussie way".
Historically, Aussies PUNT on race horses, the TAB, NOT the ASX, shares, and when they do, they let their Find Managers do it for them, and they are very competitive, results based. They DON'T "punt"!!
Small Caps are for punters and have a limited market into which they can get punters' interested, and most of those punters are very conservative, there are not THAT many "Hot Copper" types. And most don't understand new high tech stuff (like generative Ai--ask the blokes down the pub with their form guides, what they know about generative Ai, they'd think you were pissed)
Small Caps have to rely on "big" stories, preferrably in the Herald Sun, if they get past the back pages, to get most punters adrenaline flowing, VERY big stories and a lot longer time, to get investors and Fund Managers involved.
That's the domain in which Unith currently finds itself. IMO, THE BIG stories are on the near horizon.
    Enjoy. Happy Easter.
