Suni, none of us have any idea of the financial position of the directors and their ability to acquire shares in the company. I know many directors who don’t have the cash to start buying shares on market in the companies they are on the board of.
I see this comment on HC quite often. I think it comes from the mistaken belief that if you are a director you must be rich. There are definitely some very well off directors out there but I suspect you will find the vast majority of executive directors have significant financial commitments and are working away to pay mortgages, school fees etc. Their job description does not include “Buy shares on market to keep a the retail punters happy”
