Thanks for sharing the Adamas commentary on the Tesla announcement of their plans for RE free PMSM's, I suspect we'll be hearing much debate on the issue from the pro and anti RE-PM camps for a while yet!
I'm not sure if it's been out of context, but the Macq. Bank statement that; "We note that no high-performing magnets without NdFeB have been used in the EV motor manufacturing to date." is incorrect, from my understanding Tesla only started using RE-PM's with the release of the Model 3 in 2017, so the Tesla Roadster, Model S and Model X produced before then did not use RE-PM based motors.
